College Transcripts for Employment History
Borrowers with less than
two year employment history
Did you know that Borrowers without a full two-year employment history may be able to provide college transcripts as an acceptable employment history for a Conventional loan?
For borrowers who do not have a full two-year history of employment, an explanation, along with documentation (when available), should be provided to assist the underwriter in determining that the borrower has an acceptable employment history.
The most common example of this scenario would be a borrower who is recently out of college. In these circumstances, copies of the borrowers school transcripts and diploma should be included in the loan file.
Note: The underwriter will make the final determination regarding the acceptability of the borrower's employment history.
